Airbus 320 Type Engineers

Quick question.

Is it possible to mistakenly switch the placement of the hydraulics and fuel panel/ electrical panel? Did Airbus design the panels and/or overhead switches to prevent incorrect wiring going to the incorrect pb switch?

I am curious from a drivers standpoint what the AMM states as safe guards in the procedural removal and reattachment of these panels.

Cheers

actually you could... but rest assured that the wires will not get jumbled up (as long as they did not tamper with the connectors)

and if it does happen (wrong wiring on PB switches) it will definitely show up on the functional test after the installation. so no worries

aside from that, connectors are designed in a way that a certain connector will only fit to a certain female part of the connector. e.g 2421VC will never fit on a 2423VC connector. And even if they look identical or the same size, another thing to consider are the number of pins.

i have yet to see a bundle of connectors who belongs (or attached) to the same component with the same type of connector.. ( well maybe same size, but definitely diff number of pins) ... yet I stand to be corrected.
