CASA b1/b2 Maintenance Authority

I’m about to go through the drama of applying for a CASA B1/B2 Maintenance Authority and I’d appreciate any feedback from anyone who has been through the process already – ie who the best Recognised Organised to go through, what they require for the RPL, etc. AviationAustralia seem to be the RO of choice, are they ok to deal with? I’m in Melbourne so I really don’t want to go through an outfit in Queensland. Is there one closer to home?

Hi Froth. I went through Aviation Australia in BNE, and they were OK to deal with. But since then I believe Kangan Batman TAFE in MEL and Padstow TAFE in SYD have been given CASA approval to do the RPL process. For you it may be worth giving Kangan a call first.
