Afternoon guys
Was wondering if any of you that are maintaining Pilatus PC-12s have had an oil leak experience with the propeller thrust bearing cover seal,we had an icident whereby oil was seeping through the cover, only after a long investigation and a test cell run did we manage to isolate the problem to being the seal, typically the brown one.We found that the seal was rotating with the prop shaft inside the cover housing, there was no nip fit like the black seals have, turned out to be a manufacturing default of the seal.Have any of you guys in the field experienced a similar action.
