Advice from job applicants

We currently have a vacancy for a Manager in our engineering department, who must be licensed on the C208/F406 and have experience in a management capacity. We've advertised in the Sunday times and have ads running on PNet and Careerjunction, but the responses has been dismal. Where do you look when you're in the market for a job? I had a look at the international recruiting sites, but don't want to spend the money if it is going to be a waste. Any ideas?

Expensive, but Flight International has always got me the best response when advertising.

I don't want to sound overly disparaging but you are asking quite a lot:

A. Licensed, there are not that may guys knocking around at the moment, who is
B. Type rated on your type(s) and has
C. Managerial experience.

I would suggest that for such a role, in my view particularity the management bit, that in this marketplace you find yourself a suitably type rated chap from another operation, one that you "like" or can "work with" and poach him, or alternatively change your recruiting criterion.

That aside I'm with nut loose, Aviation job search seems popular at the moment, and good luck.
