Headset Question

Hi Guys
I am after a little technical advice. I have a standard 2 jack plug headset that I use for flying. I have just been made ramp allocator at work which involves being on the headset for pushbacks and I want to use my own headset as opposed to the crap ones the company buy.

Can anyone provide me with a suitable shopping list for plug adaptors ptt buttons, curly cord etc. As you might imagine I want to spend as little as possible, I can make everything myself I just need the technical specifications and how to wire it if anyone knows!!

Thanks

Have a look on the David Clark website (David Clark Company Incorporated) under aviation accessories (the hotlink is over on the left hand side of the page) and see if they have what you want.
Something to bear in mind though, unless your own headset is a noise attenuating model then you are going to struggle to hear and be heard over the interphone. The background noise on the ramp can make communication difficult to say the least.
If you are using your own headset as opposed to the company issue there may also be legal plus health and safety issues to consider.

Maybe you need a single jack like this (get it done by a professional).
