A320 Ecam W/m

Hi,
We have problem with ECAM warning message 29-00 BLUE RSVR(6) on our A320 but don’t have found any TSM about this problem. Can you help me if you have some information?
Thanks, Dimitar Atanasov

Hi Dimitar,

You will find this message under "Maintenance Status" in the TSM rather than ECAM warnings. I think it was part of a mod many years back when the A320 was fairly new.

Our TSM shows the following although obviously you need to get the correct TSM ref for your aircraft. Hope this helps.

TASK 29-22-00-810-802
Fault of the Blue Reservoir Pressurization
1. Possible Causes

- XMTR-PRESS, B RSVR AIR (2385GH)

- VALVE-PRESS REDUCING, G RSVR PRESS (1380GM)

- components with a leakage at the Blue reservoir

- components with a leakage in the HP-supply line

2. Job Set-up Information

A. Fixtures, Tools, Test and Support Equipment

REFERENCE QTY DESIGNATION
No specific air pressure supply of between 10 and 15 bar (145 and 218 psi),

B. Referenced Information

REFERENCE DESIGNATION
AMM 24-41-00-861-002 Energize the Aircraft Electrical Circuits from the External Power
AMM 24-41-00-862-002 De-energize the Aircraft Electrical Circuits Supplied from the External Power
AMM 29-14-00-614-002 Pressurization of the Hydraulic Reservoirs through the Ground Connector
AMM 29-14-43-000-001 Removal of the Pressure Reducing Valve
AMM 29-14-43-400-001 Installation of the Pressure Reducing Valve
AMM 29-34-12-000-001 Removal of the Air Pressure Transmitter 2385GH
AMM 29-34-12-400-001 Installation of the Air Pressure Transmitter 2385GH
AMM 31-60-00-860-001 EIS Start Procedure

3. Fault Confirmation

A. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) closed:

PANEL DESIGNATION IDENT. LOCATION
121VU HYDRAULIC/B RSVR/AIR/PRESS/XMTR 2386GH P34

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration

(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002 .

(2) Do the EIS start procedure (Upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001 .

(3) On the ECAM control panel on the center pedestal, push the STS pushbutton switch. Make sure that the STATUS page is shown on the lower ECAM DU.

4. Fault Isolation

NOTE: You must do the troubleshooting procedure that follows, although the maintenance status message BLUE RSVR will not come into view during the fault isolation. If the BLUE RSVR maintenance status message was recorded during the last flight, and an electrical power shutdown has occured, this message will be permanently erased from the status page.

A. If the lower ECAM DU shows the status message BLUE RSVR:

- do a check of the pressure gage (2383GM) of the Blue hydraulic reservoir.

(1) If the pressure shown is more than 30 psig (2.0684 bar):

- replace the XMTR-PRESS, B RSVR AIR (2385GH)
AMM TASK 29-34-12-000-001 and AMM TASK 29-34-12-400-001 .

(2) If the pressure shown is less than 30 psig (2.0684 bar):

- pressurize the hydraulic reservoirs
AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002 ,

(a) If you can not pressurize the Blue reservoir to 50 psig (3.4473 bar):

- do a check of the air pressure in the Yellow reservoir.

1 If the pressure is also below 50 psig (3.4473 bar):

- replace the VALVE-PRESS REDUCING, G RSVR PRESS (1380GM)
AMM TASK 29-14-43-000-001 and AMM TASK 29-14-43-400-001 .

(b) If the pressure is 50 psig (3.4473 bar):

- wait a minimum of 15 minutes and look at the pressure gage (2383GM) of the Blue hydraulic reservoir.

1 If the pressure drops:

- do a leak test of the Blue hydraulic reservoir and replace the components with a leakage at the Blue reservoir as necessary.

2 If the pressure is held for 15 minutes:

- do a check of the HP-supply line as follows:
-disconnect the hose (1674GM) on the engine side,
-pressurize the HP-supply line with a air pressure supply of between 10 and 15 bar (145 and 218 psi),
- make sure that air comes out at the warm-air flow orifice of the air pressurization manifold,
-make sure that the air pressure in the Blue reservoir is 50 psig (3.4473 bar):

3 If the pressure is less than 50 psig (3.4473 bar):

- do a leak check of the HP-supply line and repair the components with a leakage in the HP-supply line .

B. Do the fault confirmation procedure as given in Para. 3. to make sure that operation is correct.

5. Close-up

A. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002 .
Also there is an old Service Info Letter about this message, search the SIL's under Chapter 29. I think it was something like SIL 29-050-000
