clear as mud.....

I guess the free shaft operates independently of T1 tubine which is connected to the compressor. This free shaft which operates via the T2 (which is a secondary turbine aft of T1 )is connected directly to the reduction gearbox which drives the prop.
As for the fixed shaft, compressor and turbine are both interlinked.

Clear as mud !

A 'free shaft' is driven by a free power turbine. Basic gas turbine theory and design......try reading a few books on the subject.
