EASA type recency

Dear all,

can anyone define closer what it means, to have 6 month recency on type within 2 years? How do 6 month come together, how many hours/days do you need to proof, as you don't work 30 days/month....

Can anyone help me with that?

In what EASA decision or else is stated, what kind of docs you must show to proof that recency (e.g. workorders, recency letter of Quality Dep....)

Thanks a lot in advance.

I found EASA Decision 2007/018/R.

This is actually what I was looking for.

But thanks for your help.

Letter of recency is normally enough (had one from Lufties and another company and this was all that was required)

Keeping worksheets up to date is a good thing especially if you have to sit a board as they may want to see these as well but that is only a possibility.

Another question on the same subject

Does the recency have to be on European registered aircraft?

As far as I am aware after a conversation with Safety regulation group , recency is not required on G- reg aircraft but must be considered "equivalent" . I currently work in Malaysia on a wide variety of reg's and have been told that will be OK .

Interestingly they also told me that so long as I have some recency on any one type , ALL types will be renewed...
