A330 Trent C Duct heatshield blankets
Just after some info...
Could someone let me know how the thermal blanket on the inner surface of the inner barrel on the Trent C duct is bonded to the actual c duct structure (IFS)?
Quite often it seems to lift slightly, normally causing chafing to the air/oil/fuel tubes on the core and causing heatshield damage requiring c duct change or on wing repair. I can't seem to find any info in the AMM/EMM/SRM other than repairs. Any damage to the heatshield blankets is very restrictive and was wondering if there's a away of getting the blanket to fit the c duct contour better on wing to prevent it happening?
It's obviously a known problem due to bleed valve seal inspections and c duct inspection on EGT defects (it shorts against the probes if it disbonds around the EGT harness/probes)
Thanks for any info forthcoming...
