Bombardier in Belfast: Will they be hiring?
I hope so.
Alright, assuming they will be hiring (based on this report), this will be my first time out on my own looking for a specific job with my credentials. I'll be qualified in May 2009 with an Ord Deg in Mfg. Eng. To get this I need to repeat 5 subjects, (technically 3 but the two Ds don't reflect my abilities).
I know I will be getting a Final Year Project allocated to me (a repeat of a D graded project, never good with artificial hips!) should I try and find one which would interest them?
Should I keep looking about for other companies in the industry?
I'm interested in composites, should I get into that? or airflow analysis? or should I specialise at all at this stage? (specialise=read up on in my spare time).
Will the fact I'm repeating subjects reflect badly on me?
Is there anything else I can do in my spare time between now and May 2009 that can help?
There's so much I know, but don't know! I've always wanted to work in the manufacture of aerospace components (maintenance does not interest me), I never thought there'd be a possibility of doing mfg without moving to a place over water from freinds and family.
What should I do?
