Toxic Fumes

After simmering for years, this issue is gathering media momentum now - it's not going to away.

Bet boeing are glad the Dreamliner has done away with engine bleed air.

Its great the the good old 'oily smell in flight deck' is being formally investigated but I think this should be put into perspective.

What about us that have to do the inspections by sniffing every engine, duct and cabin to see if the noxious fumes ARE actually there, am I off due to ill health or been protected over the years, NO!

Spend a day in the fuel tank with me pal or a skydrol soaked stab or the ultimate, a toilet tank change, where are the sniff test machines in there!!

Peace out

Yes but we dont matter cos no-one sees us......

Seriously though I wholeheartedly agree, especially when looking in the front of an engine and the smoke / fumes / whatever is making me forget what I ate for breakfast, blow through into ones face on an almost daily basis.
