Hi,
DME is paired to VOR frequencies.
DME uses pulse pairs - X and Y and always uses both as far as i'm aware.
X pulse is spaced at 12 microseconds and Y pulse at 36 microseconds.
Hope this helps

thanx bro, but i was wondering if that will make different if i choose X channel or Y channel , is the selecting of the X or Y channel depend on some specification or it's back to me to choose what ever i want?

x channels are paired to vor frequencies such as 108.00,108.10, 108.20 etc, y channels to frequencies that go up from 108.05,108.15 and so on so channel selection is not really a manual option but is dependant on the vor frequency selected.
