DC-3 piston to turbo prop mod

Hallo Gentlemen,

does anyone of you have an idea, how much the engineering of the piston to turbo prop STC cost on the DC-3?
I am not looking for an accurate figure, just a rough idea.

Thank you guys for your reply.

The STCs of DC3s with turboprop engines goes back over 50 years...
I recall DC3s with RR Dart turbines, BEA, in the late 1950s...
The US STCs with PT6... the Turbo-3 and many others... Jack Conroy...
Long research subject...

Happy contrails

Thank you BelArgUSA,

I know its hard to find exact figures. To be honest, the reason I am trying to find out is, that we are considering a similar conversion of another type and before going deeply into it, we thought of getting some rough values this way.

fernytickles,

no I did not try them. I mentioned the DC-3 since the plane we consider converting (Albatros) is relatively similar in size and I am just trying to figure out how much the STC would cost roughly. Thanks anyway.
