Help me help me

would some one tell me what a UK CAA or EASA part 66 licence is, and what group 7.1 and 7.3 helicopters are. Many thanks Bug.

Probably the wrong forum mate. You are referring to Engineer Licences.

Better off asking in the Engineer & Tech.

But...

CAA is old BCAR licence, now superceded by EASA licence. Group 7.1 refers to piston engine helicopters (i.e. a G7.1 holder can sign off any piston heli), Group 7.3 refers to turbine. Only applicable to aircraft under 2730kg.

Like I said, you will get more joy in the Eng & Tech forum.
