DIY Active Noise Reduction Headsets

Could anyone give some advice/instructions on how to convert a passive headset into an ANR headset. As a flying instructor, I've seen a couple of home-made jobbies and would like to have a go myself. I've got around six heasets laying around the house and wouldn't mind sacrificing a few trying.
Cheers
ELF
P.S have I posted this thread in the correct forum? Engineers & Techs Forum seemed a logical place to start.....

My best advice to you is leave it to a qualified LAME avionics engineer.

As an alternative, give Mark Panton a call at Headset Services. They may be able to mod what you have or do you a good deal / trade in etc.
