Arriel 1C1 required
Looking for an Arriel 1C1 for as365N1 use, any pointers apart from the obvious appreciated.
Must have Easa/JAR Form 1 release.
Long and short of it is that Turbomecca cannot offer anything except a part-ex on another engine.
We have an engine that is making metal (not enough to set chip-light off) but detected by engineer.
Spectro analysis confirms metal from a bearing in one of 3 modules.
Turbomeca cannot/will not provide loaner whilst investigation underway to confirm actual cause.
Quoting 16-20 weeks for repair.
Their idea of AOG repair is to offer engine replacement for what could be a single bearing failing.
Ironic thing is we were no more than a week away from being signed up to PBH!!!!!!!!!! (and that was only because Turbomeca were slow with the quote)
