De-cokeing a rotax 2 stroke piston engine????
Hi guys I have got my Rotax 503 2 stroke in bits at the moment and need to de-coke the pistons and clean the ring groves out, I was reading an american web site were they advertise a solvent that you can soak your pistons in overnight that will soften the carbon so you can brush it off with a stiff brush anybody know of such a product or something I may use, I know most of you guys are more used to working real aircraft engines but you never know.

try this
We are using Turco 5884 to clean off th carbon deposites at our Garrett engine fuel nozzles. Works very well and is not a too "hard" chemical.
Hope this solves your problem.
