The QAR records the same as the FDR. What that is is dependant on aircraft type and/or operator.

On my type cabin altimeter data is not recorded, but cabin altitude warning is.

As a slight wrinkle, even if the same parameter as the FDR is recorded, chances are it's not being recorded synchronously with the FDR, so it won't be exactly the same data. Not likely to matter much for data with slow rates of change, but high rate parameters, or parameters with short persistence and/or low sample rates may be significantly different.

In a typical system, data that is taken from discrete sensors/transducers or directly off a data bus will pass directly to the DFDAU. FDR data goes through one processor and the QAR data the other.

I see no reason for the data to recorded asynchronously ?
