Well, this is my last chance (at least without going into industry!). I've repeated second year Mech Eng, and I'll shortly hold a higher certificate in Mechanical Engineering. I want to transfer into an Aero Eng course, but I'd need a Destinction or Merit Grade 1 to do it. As it stands, I'll be getting a Pass, scraping a Merit Grade 2 if I'm lucky.

I want to repeat some subjects, namely Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics and Mathematics in August exams. I know that if I start now, Ill be well on the way to As in each subject and another one or two if I choose to repeat them.

My current set of technical books (so far) are "Mechanics of Flight" by A. C. Kermode, and "The Jet Engine" from Rolls-Royce Tech. Pub. I haven't needed them in the course of my studies, but they've been interesting reads. M of F was particularly easy-going on the mind, a good bed-time read if (like me) you're interested enough. Fact is I'm sick of going through pages and pages of stuff before getting an equation that you'll only half remember in the exam. I want have given the book a good look-through before starting the exam revision essential-bit searching.

Any book suggestions for Thermodynamics and Fluid dynamics (or "thermofluids", as some books merge the two)? Something I can read a peice of in an afternoon off, then refer to for equations and the like come exam time. And of course, the more detail it'll go into, the longer it will be relevant to me in my studies, the better.
