Ok mate let me begin by saying a little a prayer for the guys that are working
at GAMCO, they need it! GAMCO is run by very unprofessinal bunch of tunel
vision magmt. team that don't know what they are doing,...no planing, they
claim they have experience .....ya right? I heard that too many times & they
know nothing ....they can't even orgnize themselves! let alone knowing about
A/Cs. Avionics OK....well I don't know much about Shar..! but I can tell you
if you are based in AUH then you will be a 1 man show running around between EY,GF, Arabia,
and other contract work.......you are the man! busting your ass off, yup! you will work on all kind of A/Cs that you are not licensed on since you
are the only avionics on the line.
Let me simplify it to you if you are going from western european background
or north american....I would say stick with what you have at present, don't
waste your time...and the money is not great from where you are coming
from & the std. of work, and ultimetly you will be working like a dog (forgive
me for the expression). If you are coming from other part of the world it may be worth it to you!
***GET READY TO THE BLAME CULTURE AND FINGER POINTING EVEN IF
IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT ....SOMEBODY HAS TO TAKE IT, IT SURE WON'T
BE THE MGMT."
Good Luck

GAMCO

............I currently work with a guy who spent 4 years at GAMCO and he tells me it is a nightmare to work for GAMCO. This is a chap with over 20 years of experience, and he has worked for Lufthansa Technik in Manila, and then GAMCO, and then now here in Canada. So he has been around a bit, and of all the places he ever worked at, he says GAMCO was by far the most unprofessionally run establishment. Misery was a daily fact of life apparently. If you haven't killed yourself shortly after joining the company, it seems that it is likely that the company will almost certainly have driven you to massive drug use, and alcoholism the likes of which you'd never have seen before.

BA.

Gamco

Someone I know who is very professional says it is a garage run by 'Fly by night' operatives in management. Don't even think about it if you value your sanity and health. PM me for more info on the region if you like.

Is it true?

I've read with interest, your comments on Grimco.
I'm currently lazing on an Island in the Pacific - not making money or keeping current on my types, xcpt B737 Family.
I looked at this offer with interest as life can get boring here and additional training wouldn't hurt. Sooner or later one must seek gainful employment.
Even on the crew sites they are complaining about EY and not having accomodation.
Can all this be true?

A friend at EK has compared the package unfavoureably, although after 2 years, and with some training, the options start to open up.

MH are looking but are they offering more?

Where can a good Mech guy earn a few bucks and try to get ahead?
