used FLIR

Looking for a used FLIR gimbal, to be used for aerial TV work.
Old cheap worthless model will do for test purposes.
like FLIR 2000 or Leo400.

Thumbs up

MJB, try PAS as you're uk based, they may have a spare system, also if you can get in touch then Western counties air support unit based at Filton. I think they may still own a system removed from their old squirrel. What are you looking at fitting it too, as don't forget you will need to have an approved mod to fit it.

Thanks Quichemech,
I'll try PAS and Filton support unit.
Yes the mod may well cost more than the gimbal, have that covered as long as turrent isn't over 45kg, with a understanding design company.

Fingers crossed.

mjb: what type of airframe are you installing the camera on. we have mounts for just about all the most popular turbine ships.

In the very near future we will have a used FLIR Systems Ultra 6000 up for auction at www.govassests4sale.com
The system has been exclusively used by our agency since new. This unit is probably one of the best units out there as we only experienced one failure since new and that was the color camera focus motor. It is in perfect working order and was removed from service this past November.

We have video available for review from the last night in use. It comes with two complete cable sets cut in length for belly mounting on an OH-58.

Reserve price on the bid amount is very reasonable. This would make an excellent entry level FLIR system for some agency.

Hey, we even won a couple of FLIR Vision Awards with the unit.

For further information, please do not hesitate to give me a call at (239) 793-9274.
