Question Merlyn Black Magic Wastegate?

Hi

Does anyone know if the Merlyn Black Magic Automatic Wastegate for Continental TSIO-360-FB engines is approved in the UK?

If so, where can I buy one and does anyone have experience of how much they cost?

If not, where is the CAA website where I can search to see if it has been approved as a UK mod?

Thanks

Thumbs up

Kiltie,
They are approved in South Africa and other jurisdictions.
Contact Merlyn Products, Inc.: [email protected]
Also: www.merlynproducts.com
Price: US$5,277-00 (April 2006) plus local import duties if any. (I paid +/-US$800 import duty to Fedex in South Africa).
I installed them happily on a 1976 Seneca II.
It is a great product but the company is slow in reponding to requests for info - typical of most aviation suppliers in the USA in the 20th century. Somewhat slow off the mark in not supplying anything but a USA toll free telephone number. Like pulling teeth.
