Post 757 APU problems

One of our a/c has a history of APU starting problems. Some times it starts, some times it doesn't. The usual suspects have been replaced and also the battery and battery charger but, seemingly to no avail. Even the APU its self has been changed, but the problem still persists. Any help would be appreciated. Free beer to anyone who comes up with the perfect fix!

Inlet door position sensor/rigging?
Check inlet for obstruction.
Have you done a mini-flag on the ECB?

No mini-flag messages, and no EICAS meaasge relating to APU door. The aircraft is due on 'C' check, so maybe the heavies can sort it out.

Question

When do you think the Avionics in our company may cotton on to the fact it might be wiring ??? Usual way it works.....change all the big heavy bits first then look at the wiring. Mines a large brandy if I'm right!!

Had one last year with an intermittent starting prob.
Apu batt & various relays changed to nil effect.
During ecb change as a last resort, one of the c.b.'s that should be pulled during ecb removal was found already pulled & with a black tiewrap around it - hence nobody had spotted it.
Think it was called "d.c. cntl" but not sure, on the o'head pnl anyhow.
Thinking back the problem was always with a dead aircraft, ok with a gpu on.

Jet Fuel - don't always rely on the ECB for door faults.

Since you've done everything else, do a visual on the door/check switch.

Look at the SSM (49-52-02).

Had one with "hot start" on ECB, due to ingestion of large plastic bags down intake.
