anybody know what the rules are if you want to convert to B1 (A/C) under JAR lic if you hold B2 (EIR)lic???
I am EIR about to convert to JAR but I was told 50th hand that it is easier if I remain under old LWTR system.
Also, where can I sit for JAR exams....can they be taken in CAA offices in Asia?
Info is limited where I am so any input is appreciated.

Talk to the ALAE they may be able to help. If you don't know of them they are a Uion/Association solely set up and run for LAME's there are a few there that have much knowledge on JAA/JAR 66 etc. Try the website at http://www.lae.mcmail.com there is an e-mail button to send questions to the office can't remember off the top of my head, but it's on the website. Also try the CAA link at the above and see if they have any contacts. Hope that helps, rgds.
