Satis,

What a great idea (I think we may show the pilots up the way we are going!!!!). Unfortunatley I have run out of time and must shoot of to work as the hangar is calling me but when I return I will post a story or two, what about the rest of you ?

Well, I'm just back from a 70 day tour wrenching and flying in the stinking hot desert, so I've got time:

Back in the beginning I was told to be the bartender at a company Christmas party. The Chief flying instructor at the local flying club got severely drunk, accused me of being pretty (!) and tried to beat me up. My arms were longer, the cops were called and he had the misfortune to hit his head on the door of the paddy-wagon. Next day my boss says to me "I've been in aviation 40 years and I've seen a lot of fights between mechanics and pilots." He paused, looked thoughtful, and said: "And you know, I've never seen the mechanic lose." I think he was proud of me.
