Question Canopies

HELP
I need to know what aircraft canopies are made of (in the military sector anyway) for my BEng Final Yr project

Usuaplly they are made of a very thick, damage resistant perspex. They have a miniture detination cord wrapped along the top to blast away the canopy if the need to eject arises. Having seen videos of this I can tell you that is works and is very impressive. Good luck with your exams.
