Cool

Bad things about Malaysia
MAS
ASU shift pattern sucked which meant we had to work almost every day.
ASU Transport - LA.
Oz Pilots & Engineers – only joking.
Traffic a nightmare both volume & local drivers
Trying to find the artisans who were sleeping, praying or eating.
Cyanide in Anchor beer.
Starting block toilets
Expats who stopped at traffic lights when they first arrived causing accidents.

Good things about Malaysia
Anything not connected to MAS
Gorgeous cabin staff.
Kampung Ku
Gorgeous cabin staff.
Good food
Gorgeous cabin staff.

Reckon i know where a few of those pommy bastards are! But seems they're too busy whinging to let us know whats what. I remember the Kampung Ku, too many Carlsbergs, and souvenir Anchor jugs! Anyone fancy a Kiwi Burger?

Thumbs up

Ah yes Kampung Ku.It got bulldozed mysteriously overnight. Some say the ghosts of connies can be seen around there.MAS always reckoned you would have to do something like that to get em out! After that had to go down into kampung subang to the frog shop.So called because you could pick your frog or fishy from a big tank.Right next to the runway threshold.
Alas stayed too long.Should have listened to the Aussies who reckoned the whole region was a house of cards.GOOD AT SPORT AS WELL AS FINANCIALLY ASTUTE EH?I,M STILL SEEKING PERFECTION.

Well its great to hear from some "old boys" at last !
its interesting how a few names get the old memory banks revitalised. this conehead left in '94 and the locals at MAS tell me things are now drastically different, with a couple of locals now running their own contract agency which supplies men to MAS.
As far as pubs go can anyone stir my memory with a few more drinking hole names? what was that one called that belonged to vince's mate(not bedrock)? do you guys remember Jeda singing 4 non blondes? and what was the name of that pub in damansara utama? where the indian "jimmy hendrix" played. buggered if the carlsberg factory visits havent wiped my memory clean !
well good to find you guys out there on the surf, keep the memories coming!

hey conehead,
no i did'nt do any beach BBQS, the nearest i got to the beach was a great weekend in kuala terennganu with an assortment of pissheads who wouldnt get out of the hotel pool cos it had a wet bar!
i did do a few home BBQ's though, and hosted a few serious parties too. i wonder if you were at the one where Les was surfing on his board in the middle of the main road in USJ 2/4 during morning rush traffic?

hey The Freq, where did silvia with the big boobies work?

MELman , The beach party I was refering to
was the one with LP diving into the pile of beer cans in Subang USJ.
The pub behind Vince's was called "Jays"
the one in Damansara was "all that jazz" .
Who is the sheepshagger ???
