SARTOR

I've no idea if there are many IEng / CEng level people reading this but...

SARTOR, is it a good idea? I'm increasingly feeling that it has been fabricated by the universities as a job creation scheme for them and reduces the component of somebody's qualifying time being practical. Given how few CEng / IEng Engineers there are in most University departments it seems to be more important that people are assessed on their professional, not academic, performance! I think that the Engineering Council should leave the academics alone and increase the pre-qualification CPD requirements.

Opinions?
