I used to know a greenie often referred to as 'seagull'. It was a few months before I found out that you had to throw rocks at him to get him to move!

Thanks to JAR 66 it will soon be the grubbers that will have to do the electrical work. We idol greenies will have even less to do, apart from sitting back & waiting to see how long it will take the B1 mechanics to replace a connector.

Multi X while you're sittng back waiting for us 'grunts' to put the connector back together maybe you could spend your time browsing through a dictionary, idle is spelt IDLE not IDOL.Most of the line greenies that I have known are like the olympic torch, they never go out.

Right stuff,

I think it is known as a 'play on words'.

You guys really do get very twitchy don't you, hitting a raw nerve perhaps?? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

They have renamed our crew room, "Greenie Line Office".

I think some of you guys out there need to take a proverbial "chill pill".

"Some days you are the pigeon, some days you are the statue"

P.S:- No spelling corrections please, I don't profess to be a whizz at English, and besides I am 2 days into a 6 day New Year drinking binge after being on Stand-by over Christmas and feeling slightly worse for wear!!!

Oh Dear,

This brings back many fond memories, never mind.

Oi grubber, stop dripping, carry my tool box and hold the torch still.

A well known airline recently carried out a test to see how each trade applied themselves. There were three rooms each with a differant trade inside. Each trade were given two ball bearings and 1 hour to decide what to do with them. The Airframe guy used his like marbles proving that he had a competitive nature. The Engine guy was found to be balancing one on top of the other showing his ability to meet any challenge that may come his way.The avionic guy wasn't doing anything because he had lost one and broke the other.
Hapi knew yeer Heli.I think my chill pill is working.
BTW I happen to know Multi X,thats why I had a dig at him.

Cheers Rightstuff!

Into day 3 now, and feeling decidely squiffy!!!

I think that at most companies there is a friendly banter type situation between the intelligent engineers and the Greenies!!!

All joking aside, and to prove I am not of this mind set, I work with a great group of Greenies, all very knowledgable, and I thank my lucky stars that they are there! I am finding Module 5 bad enough, let alone the other Greenie modules!!

Rightstuff - HeliEng is correct & it was a play on words - Idol meaning God or Deity. I am surprised you bit, as you know if there are any spelling mistakes on this forum Bus 429 normally corrects these. The reason he did not is, he is also from the technical side of aircraft engineering.

After a very successful day 4 into day five of the drinking binge, I am now feeling the most sqiffy of all!

I think as the Big Ben chimed at midnight bringing us forward into the New Year, I was struck with the notion that Greenies aren't actually that bad after all!

I mean to say, who'd keep the seat warm, make the tea, stock up the sugar pot, tune the TV in for the best televisual feastings etc.. etc..if there were no Greenies?

A Very Happy New Year to One and All, Greenie, A&C, Licenced guys, Logs, Supervisors, even Pilots (Pushing the boat out this year!!)

Take care of yourselves in 2002, keep fixin' them, keep flyin them and have a laugh.
