I have heard they are planning to make prestwick a large maintenance base and also to put in simulators for crew training?

Never heard of any Ryanair plans for a maintenance base, also remember the aircraft are not UK registered.
Did hear of plans for a simulator and cabin crew trainer to go there but in the end I think it went to Luton.
The Guvnor is a famous cut and paster to the rumours and news forum and for years has had a virtual airline of Tristars based at Prestwick.
