ALAE smartgroup closure

For those of you that visited and used the forum for the ALAE at smartgroups, this is just to let you know that to avoid any legal action due to comments made about a company by doctor thrust, he could well be here somewhere as well, it has had to be closed. So be warned, people do read these forums and will take action if they see fit.

Obviously venting one,s feelings is good but you cannot be libelous.

I too regret the closure of this group.
It was certainly a place where as an engineer you could vent your frustration with the system.
Maybe we could start another group for ALAE members if we specify no libelous postings.
Just a thought.

Sorry to hear about your smartgroup closedown Spanners, here at airmech we intend to move to a new server soon and provide a bulletin board for us all to share our knowledge and have a bit of a hoot. Any advice on how to avoid the pitfalls that you encountered would be most appreciated.
