Question Converting an A&P to European requirements

I hold an A&P certificate and was wondering what is involved to allow working in the EU.
I hold a British passport so work permits are not an issue but I am not to sure about my license. Any info or links would be helpful. What is the average starting wage in Europe? What does it top out at? Are most jobs union?

Thanks

Cool

You can work and you can convert.Your choice;well until June anyway,is whether to convert to UK BCAR or JAR license.
There are even co's/airlines in UK who are looking for A&P'S.
Union membership is not compulsory but I would recommend you join the association of licensed aircraft engineers(ALAE).

I have an A&P license. And I have found it very hard to find work in the U.K using my A&P. unless at heathrow or gatwick. There is a lot more work in Europe for A&P guys. Or one of the American carriers.
