Question Ground School Instructors

Hey people,

Quick question:
See those banner ads from GE Capital Aviation training for ground school instructors etc? Well what kind of qualifications do these posts require?? I know for a fact these guys don't have to be profesional pilots. So what do they look for?

Anyone??

Cheers,
JT8

I Think that you will find that under JAR/OPS 1, requirements are that you must either hold, or have held either a professional Pilot licence, or a professional aviation engineers licence. Most of these jobs are taken by either retired/medically unfit aircrew, or Qualified engineers.

Hope that helps
