Fuel injected IC engines
I confess that fuel injected engines are a bit of a mystery to me, but they are starting to become more common on light aircraft so I need to be able to pretend that I'm clever than I really am.
So, can anybody recommend any good books / papers / websites / etc. covering the design, testing, operating, monitoring and so on of fuel injected IC 4-stroke petrol engines in general, and on aeroplanes in particular?

Do you mean the traditional mechanical injection, the likes of fitted to Piper/Cessna/Beech et al. Or are you looking for information on electronic injection systems as fitted to modern cars?

Mostly the latter, I have the privilege of having very little to do with the older Lycontinental engines, but spend a lot of time worrying about the behaviour of either the 4-stroke Rotax products, or various attempts to produce new engines based (usually) upon automotive technology.
This sort of thing (to pick a purely random example).

Basic understanding and implementation here:www.sdsefi.com/techtheo.htm
I'll be along with some more after the latest AOG subsides.
edit:
Quick recover and passengers now happily on their way, back to the real business.
Try this site for a little more detail, although if focuses mainly with Bosch systems: http://www.vectorbd.com/bosch.html.
Anymore? let me know.
