Angel Looking for a visit to a maintenance base in Scotland

I was wondering if any of you could help me. I run an JAA ATPL groundcschool course in Glasgow and it would be really useful if I could take my students on a visit to an engineering facility somewhere in Scotland. Do any of you know who I should contact? Thanks in advance. Angela

There are heavy maintenance facilities at Prestwick.

Polar Air Cargo (747s mainly), Ryanair (737s), BF Goodrich (brakes and tyres) and General Electric (powerplants).

Ryanair would probably try and charge you an entry fee though

Visit to Maintenance facilities at Glasgow.
Call British Airways Maintenance Glasgow (BAMG) on 0141-207-9097 Admin office. (Ken Prtrie Man.Dir BAMG)

Also call Loganair on switchboard number (sorry don't have it to hand. Trefor Evans is their Engineering Director.
Note Loganair and BAMG have set up an Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship Scheme starting this autumn.
