SAAB 2000 tech question

Can anyone enlighten me on the operation of the APR system on the Saab 2000. Does it feather the dead prop, increase power on the working engine, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

MB

Hi MB,

you are not far off the track,

APR active:

if a FADEC is sensing a power drop >=25%, power will increase by approx. 11% = 111%PU only in TOGA or flex take off modes!
PU passing 45%, FADEC has a closer look to your NG (guess it was 56%) try's to relight the whole thing. further drop: shut down and feather.

if your APR button is selected off:

not a "big" change, you will have only 100%PU available.
