Post Many questions for AMEs - Please help!

Hi guys,

I would like to become an A&P Mechanic but it's just so hard to find a school. I am from Europe and I would like to find a school either in England, Ireland, Austria or in Swizerland if I have to do it in Europe. I would much rather do it overseas (Australia, USA...) but I think chances aren't so good as an EU citizen, are they?

Somehow in the Internet I do not find many schools at all (despite American Schools which seem to be all over the place). Does anybody know a good school in Europe?

I also have a couple of questions listed below and it would be great if you can answer them:

- as an A&P Mechanic, will I have a good future lookout on job opportunities. As I know other jobs in Aviation (as pilots) don't have a lot of good chances at the moment. I would like to have the option to work worldwide.
- is it important whether I do the A&P Qualification according to JAR or FAR? If FAR is in higher demand I maybe should do the FAA licenses anyways.

Thanks for any answers!

Have a look at www.airmech.co.uk

They should answer ALL you questions.

In the UK at least the industry is in decline as yesterday 420 job losses were announced at FLS Aerospace and rumour has it of another 450 from BA engineering.

Centennial College

Hello

Have a look at Centennial College:
http://www.centennialcollege.ca/default.htm

I know 2 people who graduated from there and they liked the school.
I don't know about their foreign student admission policy but I gather it's fairly liberal if you can pay the fees.
