QF Classic Pilots

G'day,
can someone enlighten me as to what attitude/EPR setting would be required for the flwg at say...220 tonnes and 350 tonnes?

Level flight at 280kts and 2,500ft
Level flight at 250kts and 2,500ft
On the glideslope, Vref +10 and GR DN, Flap 30

Thanks very much!!!

Good luck for your sim ride!!

the classic does have an auto throttle, but it requires a continual supply of beer, nekkid girls and disgusting stories to function at the required standard.

These figures are for the -400, but should be ballparkish.

Guidelines only (my disclaimer for the perfectionist who corrects me on 0.01 EPR etc)

Level 250kt clean 220 t 5 deg 1.15
Level 280kt clean 350 t 6 deg 1.25
G/S Land con. +10 220t 1.4deg 1.18

All care, no responsibility!

Good luck

Attitude...whatever will give you level flight (or 3deg appr).
Thrust...whatever gives you constant speed!

AUW 220
Gear Flap IAS ATT EPR FLTpath
up 0 280 2.5 1.18 S&L
up 0 250 3.5 1.14 S&L
up 5 176 7.5 1.16 S&L
up 10 166 7.0 1.16 S&L
up 20 156 6.0 1.18 S&L
down 20 156 6.0 1.22 S&L
down 20 156 3.0 1.10 3DEG Desc.
down 30 136 2.5 1.16 3 DEG Desc (normal LND)
down 30 136 5.5 1.28 S & L

For every 20T extra to about 280T ATT stays almost the same just add .02 EPR to above figures. eg. 260T Gear DN, F30, 2.5DEG ATT EPR 1.20.

AUW 350 ?? (lower nose ATT for LVL Flt and push up the thrust to hold it just like Capt Fathom says I guess)

Regards
