Anyone is welcome to post factual information regarding Mr Jones, his previous experience and details of his business interests.

These are the undisputable facts.

The company in question is Smart Communications Group Ltd.

Mr Jones held postions of Chief Executive and Managing Director.

Prentice Parbery Barilla (PPB) were appointed as administrators in October 2001.

Mr Jones is one of 3 former directors being sued by liquidator PPB.

The allegation is insolvent trading.

PPB sold the company for $1.8 million to AJ Lucas Group Ltd.

AJ Lucas claim to have lost $3.2 million on the aquisition of Smart's principal assets and business.

AJ Lucas chairman claims his company was "profoundly misled" over the business and viability of Smart.

AJ Lucas may be taking action against PPB and Smart.

Of course there will be punters who will claim that Mr Jones came on board too late to save the company but that would be akin to claiming Garry Twoomey played no part in the demise of Ansett.

Of more concern is this former wingnut is about to take over two companies that are, realistically, in an unviable position.

His previous experiences indicate that he will not be capable of delivering a profitable/merged operation.

And the before mentioned allegation only took place towards the end of last year.

Expect a turbulent future.

Undisputable fact - you are a goose. You shouldn't have gobbed off in the first place, trying to make yourself look "important" with your obnoxious comments.

I think your facts are suspect and/or incomplete and you should still watch yourself.

Thumbs down

Ex_One

I posted you a private email with most of the detail you state as facts.

As stated in that email, and now for the public record (in consideration of your bullish approach) I worked for Smart Communications up to and including the time of its demise. This period includes working for AJ Lucas, who purchased Smart from the administrators after reneging on the agreement to buy the company. I was one of the General Managers of the company and therefore feel well qualified to share my opinion that AJ Lucas were not profoundly misled, just incompetent!

A legal claim against any of the former board members of Smart does not indicate guilt, just an attempt at blame. As I mentioned to you in email, you have only half the story, so don't keep using it.

You sound bitter and twisted and may have a good excuse for your negative sentiments. You do not however do anything towards improving the situation in our industry by posting such drivel.

At least my post provoked some input, and that can't be bad.

I'm still not convinced of Mr Jones ability to head a merged Hazeton/Kendell.

I am, however, open to input that will cause me to change my mind.

It would seem to me, as a person not versed in 'big business', that $1.8 M is a long way from the reported 'squillions'.

Regardless, it seems as though the administrators are impressed.

The early Ch 10 news just announced that they've signed the deal with him.

Let's wait and see, and hope like hell for our Kendell/Hazelton colleauges that it's a goer.

You state that you are not versed in big business, that you dont know much about Mr Jones, blah blah, but then you say that you are open to input to CHANGE your mind. This would indicate you have already made a determination.

wtf?

So what are are saying is...you know sweet f.a. but you HAVE already decided your opinion and bu33er all is going to change it.

Get your hand off it.

Mr helmet fire,

What an offensive person you are!

I do know quite a lot about Mr Jones, but choose not to publish here.

I may not be confident of, say Kerry Packr's, ability to make it work either, but didn't say that.

You missed the point on being versed in big business, but I would have thought all but the lowest of IQs might have concluded that $1.8 M could not be translated as 'squillions' (whatever they are).

Yes, I have made a determination, and I also will not publish that in this forum. My second para was quite conclusive in that I said 'I am still not convinced of Mr Jones ability to head etc.'

I think that perhaps you may benefit from a brief study of comprehension.

Your post contributed absolutely nothing to the discussion. You played the man.

Thank you for your mindless input.

When you have the time, can you please enlighten me on what 'wtf?' means.

ksd333,

I certainly hope you're right, and I wish you all the best of luck.

Let's hope it's a case of success in spite of the odds.

Unfortunately AN couldn't make it with impostors running their airline, but hopefully you will.
