QF(NZ) conditions of employment set to change
I understand the terms and conditions of employment with AWOPL (QF NZ) are set to change yet again. This time yet another slice will be taken out of the pays of current employees, however being "balanced" with an offer of a more permanent position - possibly full time employment will be offered. The pay is expected to be somewhere between Freedom and Air NZ. Bases are expected to be AKL and CHC. In addition, 3 more aircraft are expected to arrive in time for the transfer of the AOC to NZ. Bringing the total to seven aircraft. A doubling in the current numbers of flight crew is expected, with further upgrades of current F/O's !!

I think that I have said this on other threads, but I'll say it again anyway. Pilots are alwways talking down conditions. I've come to the conclusion that it is a part of the pysch and nature of the pilot. Before every takeoff we assume that an engine will fail - but how often does that occur?
I think that it is time for a more positive and cohesive view on pay and conditions - for all pilots!
