Unemployment Blues
Hi,
I was just wandering what all of you men and women who can't find work as pilots are doing? Especially CPL holders who have only recently (past year) passed their CPL.
What are you people doing to make a buck and are you actively seeking employment in aviation at this time.
I know it's hard to find work when your inexperienced, it's always been the hardest job to get (the first) and I know it's pretty bad out there at the moment.

Yes it is and it WILL get better. The best thing is that as bad as it may be now, it is all the sweeter when it eventually works out for you. If you persevere it WILL work out.
Good luck!
Good luck!

keep flying
Purple, If you really love it - flying is the best thing you can do with your clothes on - then hang in there.
Earn money whatever way you can and spend it on flying - getting more hours/endorsements - take friends flying etc.
But above all, be prepared to move anywhere for a flying job. Don't get in a relationship with someone who only wants to live around the corner from Mum & Dad.
My first three flying jobs were recommendations/word of mouth. Get a good reputation as a safe and reliable pilot and become known. It is a very small industry. Someone always knows someone else who knows someone.
The industry has always had it's ups and downs.
