Maiden,
I dare say any of the latest programs, and then go hunting on the net for a 747 classic aeroplane.
generally you can pick up any aeroplane for many sims these days on the more die hard simmers websites.

For realism of systems, handling and performance charteristics etc you need to check out PS1, www.aerowinx.com .
Very limited visuals in standard PS1 though. You can go to extremes with PS1 as well. Through software links its possible to fly the PS1 software and see FS2002 external visuals. Home built sims predominatly seem to use PS1 for its realism.
See http://www.hyway.com.au/747/747.html . What Matthew has achieved already is very impressive and there's still much more he plans to do.
Flight Sim 2002 has some good 747 classic models available, but nothing like PS1. However there is a reasonably good 767-300 and 737-400 that I have tried. See www.wilcopub.com and www.dreamfleet2000.com respectively. Phoenix simlations have a 747, 777 and newly released A32X series, http://www.phoenix-simulation.co.uk/

Pilot in Command 767 from Wilco is great. I used to use it all te time but have lost that time now ! So the memoirs I have from the days of 200ft approach's well below the min. into runways that do not even have auto-land!.
I wouldnt go past 767 program and also the Airbus A3XX program. Both offer FMC's respectivly etc.
