It was a Stop work, not a strike.

Actually, I'm sitting here with one the said 'Check-in' staff as I write
'Tis true indeed, there was a mass walkout of ALL domestic and International check-in staff. It was due to issues arising from an Occupational Health and Safety standpoint.
The staff are sick to death of working in sub-zero temperatures and have been insisting for the better part of the last 2 years that they be provided with appropriate attire and saftey clothing for work carried out on the 'airside' and also for something to be done regarding the check-in area itself, and the freezing conditions the staff have to endure.
Bloody fair enough too

Regards
GG

Thumbs up

Well I Wonder if the Company will listen to the staff know or will the Asu have to take the cause Nationwide????

I Wonder How the Staff at Sydney Reacted as I am Sure they probably have the same issues considering that they had a Morning that was at Temp of 1 Degree.
