Lightbulb Aircraft Spraypainters

Has anyone got info on NSW Based paint shops.
Im after names and phone numbers and any advise or experiences anyone has had so i can get a few quotes from reputable workshops.
Does Hazo's still do outside Paint jobs?
Please not the Balina boys? but any others!

Cheers JD

Macleay Aircraft Maintenance in Kempsey (02) 6563 1406. They do a good job, but anything bigger than a Chieftain or 400-Series Cessna may be a challange due to lack of hangar space.

They have photos of previous jpbs available if you want to check their work.

I know you said NSW based but if you want a quality job done General Aviation Maintenance at Essendon Airport are excellent. The number is 03 9379 1019. The head spray painter is Ian Irvine who has been spraying plains since he was in nappies. They have plenty of hangar space for any GA sized aircraft.

Try eastern (airlines)engineering at tamworth seen a couple of strip and repaint jobs on airtractors and still shining after 3 years in the bugs and turbine soot. Not cheap but the best paint job ive seen to date in that environment. Also try pays airsevice at Scone nsw they do their own work as well outside work.

jdriver,

When you say Hazo, presume you mean Hubo(?) Believe his brother is in the act now also.

Hubo has done two Cessnas for me. Cannot say I can complain much about either, although the last one became vastly inflated in price due to a bit of hail damage that appeared after it was stripped. Also, got mucked about a fair bit and pushed around the queue due to customers who seemed to have a little more 'priority' but then I guess it did take a fair bit more time than originally quoted for.

Get him in the right mood and he as good as anyone and competitive too. My last one looks as good as the day it was done, after a couple of years - and neither were painted outside. If you get on the wrong side of him though .....
