Blue Mountains Scenic Routes
G'day all,
Looking to do a few scenic flights around the Blue Mountains in the very near future, just wondered if anyone has any suggested routes or info on areas to be avoided etc. Not getting a response from National Parks for some reason.

Seem to remember a bit of a ruckus about a FNA around the three sisters area, but I don't have access to enroute to see if anything is mentioned.
Might be worth checking but........
anyone?

The relevant FNA details are a bit long winded to post here.
See ERSA Gen, Special Procedures, 6.2
Call the park manager on 02 4787 8877.

Flying in the blue mountains
The rules are, 600m from canyon floors and 600m from cliff faces valleys etc. Don't o/fly Katoomba/Leura, due to the "greeny" factor. Landing at Katoomba Airstrip is OK, but please check on the weather. Anything over 15Kts of wind creates heaps of shear.
I hope this helps.
