Post NEW VERSION LB2002 Imports Data From Previous Versions

Posting to all that Use Logbook 2002 and Duties Program

Finally implemented that much needed "Import" button

Run the new workbook, Press the "Import" button, and it will allow you to choose which logbook you wish to import.

It will import the Following Versions

Logbook 2001 (Wont import the Duty Start and Stop Times)
Logbook 2002 - All Versions

In addition:-

Added provision for recording Day Take off and Landings + Recency

Added extra error handling - will highlight in red (column A) data that is in the incorrect Format

Work is continuing on a Frontpage - and will soon add in More Data Summary, ie Time of Rego's for example. Proper Help file

Download the latest Version from
www.bigfoot.com/~P-air

As usual, please report any bugs

Just found that it will now also import data from the 2000 version aswell.

Minor Bug found that caused the logbook to fail to identify 2002 versions. (Resulted from coding telling it how to recognise 2000)

Now rectified (DOH! Hate that)

Big thanks to "MPT" for finding the bug and quickly notifying me. (Sorry to the 53 others that get auto updates - nuther1 on its way - Thankyou for the support) - Gotta get a mail list sorted soon.

G'day P-Air (and all),

Sorry to be the party pooper with the new version, but it seems to work ok now. Seeing what you can do makes me wish that I'd paid more attention in computer class at school. Hang on, they didn't have them when I was at school, I had a big enough struggle with my slide rule (and abacus?). Rats, rats, rats!!

Thanks again P-Air, I'll just slink off and remember the good old days.

Cheers,

MPT

Oh, and almost forgot,

I've decided to leave the code unlocked so that people can freely tinker with all the inards.

Just a reminder, Donot change the page names, as the code relies heavily on these to reference the data.

When pasting data, ensure that you paste special - values, and not just paste, this will overwrite important cell validation/formating

When deleting, just use the delete key, as opposed to deleting entire rows etc

When importing, if the workbook you are trying to import does not have a page1, it will spit the dummy...working on a fix

Looking for people to send me regs regarding overseas flight and duty requirements. Please email me the limitations if youknow them.

Regards
P-air

I always said what a whizz with computers you were! Sounds great - only wish I understood some of it.

Trust you and yours are well.

Cheers for now

I downoaded your program, on my computer it looks like a fancy spreadsheet. In your updated format it looks like a windows screen with the boxes to put your details in, why doen;t mine look the same.

Also, is there some sort of instruction book for it??

To access the Data Form, simply click on the "Enter Data Form" button.

Will make up a set of instructions soon. There is some examples on the website.

Hi Shaker One, all four of us are well. And you? Still enjoying the cold land?
