Where to live near Coldstream?
Running with the 'where to live' theme, I was wondering on a number of things with regard to renting in and around the Coldstream Airport area in Melbourne.
Costs?
Standard of living in the area?
etc.
Thanks in advance.

Yarra Glen is really nice and some good rentals are to be found. Lilydale is a very mixed area but there and Chirnside Park has plenty of rentals. It just depends what you want. It is easier to get to Melb from Lilydale via train etc but Yarra Glen is rural and has a good country feel. Unless you get a farm house close by Chirnside Park and Lilydale are both between 8 and 10 ks away while YG is about 13ks.

You can live anywhere you like round there. It's a great part of the world.
Don't get involved with those Lilydale upperclass snobs. Stick with Coldstream and get to know the countrystyle people who will make you feel right at home from day 1.
Its a shame "Digger" is not there to teach you to fly.
He was a great bloke
P.S Have they sealed the strip yet ???
