Hot Air Ballooning ?
G'day eveyone,
I'm trying to get some information on getting into ballooning, privately and possibly on a commercial basis in the long run. Some people I have spoken to have said that the rise in public liability insurance costs, has forced some operators out of business. Any info would be much appreciated.

Try Outback Ballooning, Ballooning Downunder and Spinifex Ballooning in Alice Springs. Apparrently they are always looking for people to commit for a couple of years. And it's not uncommon to see job ads in the local rag offering to pay for peoples CPL (Balloons) for a 4 year commitment blah blah blah....
They are all extremely busy making squillions of dollars every year, regardless of public liability insurance.
I don't claim to know everything but I can give you phone numbers and Chief Pilot/Owners name for two of the companies. Send us an email if interested....
