Virgin to employ foreigner pilots?

A mate of mine has just come back from Seattle after doing his 737NG course there for Qantas and was told that some of the Boeing pilots are leaving to come to Virgin Blue as captains. Can anyone verify this?

Last I heard from friends within VB is that direct entry commands were a thing of the past.

Yes, they do tend to drink a bit on those courses in Seattle and I have heard more convincing bulldust than that one as a result!!
