Unhappy Part 121b

Anyone had a spare week to read all of the proposed new rules in the Part 121B? Me thinks that we are being regulated out of exsistance. That is unless you fly from one ILS to another in a large enough aircraft to carry all the appropriate documents, including those parts of the OPS Manual, that relate to your current operation.

When are these blokes in Canberra going to get the message that it doesn't matter how many rules that you have it will not change the outcome. Its not the rules that make flying safer it's the mindset or attitude of the operator. They need more people out there to get rid of the shifty operators. All they are going to achieve now is to further tie up the exsisting staff and resources which means less oversight and supervision which in turn will result in more people getting away with doing the wrong thing.

I always thought you needed a pilots licence to get into commercial aviation, not a law degree and a diploma in computer science so that you can wade through and understand all of the crap that is coming out of Canberra.

GOOD LUCK AND SAFE FLYING TO ALL!!!!!
